We recorded our second CD in St. John's Newfoundland, graced with the incredible talents of some of St. John's finest musicians. Chasing Fireflies was co-produced by Sara, Kamila and Terry Stone and engineered by Lee Tizzard at the Sound Solution. The four of us spent three months in the studio, recording and mixing. It was hard work and very satisfying...a great team effort. Chasing Fireflies is an eclectic album. The performances of the guest musicians give each track a special magic. It was an honour for us to work with them. Guest Musicians... Sara and Kamila are sisters from the [Annapolis] Valley who write funky acoustic songs separately and sing them together. I went to see their release at Bob and Lori’s a couple of weeks ago and they were wonderful. Most notable, I thought, was a palpable sense of humour and a relaxed exuberance, which won them many fans. And getting your mom up to play with you is pretty darn cool, too. We were changing. Life was dragging us from one thing to the next, and we realized that we would lose them if we didn't record them. These songs, written over a period of four or five years marked some of the biggest moments in our lives, and new moments kept happening. So
we climbed the mountain, fought off the bears and drove our sister
Ariana and Andy crazy in
their little cabin in Argenta BC,
as we reconnected with each other and they recorded the music
